Hello Collaboration Families,
Happy February! In ELA, we’ve started researching our non-fiction topics. Students will also be reviewing main ideas, details, summarizing, and comparing/contrasting before a reading post assessment that’s coming in a couple of weeks. In Social Studies, we’ll be beginning a new unit on the Revolutionary War. We’ll start the unit by going over the events that caused the war. In Math, we are starting to learn about multiplying fractions with whole numbers. The students are doing such a great job with this concept. In Science, we are working on being engineers and rescuing an imaginary town from flooding. This is also available here on the website in the Homework tab. Water Bottles: Please make sure your child has a refillable water bottle at school to stay hydrated. Any recyclable drink container is also welcome for students to use (ex. empty gatorade bottle) If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
