Hello Collaboration Families,
It’s almost the end of April! Can you believe it! With Forward testing ending, we’ll be getting back to our regular schedule tomorrow. We’re so excited for our upcoming Store Project afternoon of shopping. See below for new details. HSSD wit4girls Workshop A workshop for girls to inspire them towards technology. Store Projects: May 17th is fast approaching! Students should be bringing in their supplies or investment money this week. We have begun working on our products and there are only 3 weeks left! Please start inviting friends and family to join in on the shopping. Even if they don’t buy items, it helps the students to learn and it gives an air of busyness to the sales night. If you know that your child cannot be present on the 17th, please let us know as soon as possible so we can help their team plan for their absence. In ELA, students have been assigned their advocacy topics. Ask your child about both sides of the argument! In Social Studies, students continue to prepare for their Revolutionary War skits. In Math, students are beginning to learn about multiplying decimals. Ask your child to explain to you why decimal points don’t move (it’s not like we were taught as kids!). In Science, we are finishing our space unit and moving into our unit on chemistry. Things to be aware of: April 17th Pool Incentive! This is also available here on the website in the Homework tab. Water Bottles: Please make sure your child has a refillable water bottle at school to stay hydrated.
